Garlic Knots

Garlic Knots

These garlic knots are the easiest snack (or flavour-boosting side dish) you could be making at home. Garlicky, herby, and slathered in butter, it's difficult to have just one of these babies. Plus, these knots are ready in under an hour, making them an ideal last-minute dish to please a hungry crowd.

Ingredients

  • 450g store-bought pizza dough (or homemade pizza dough)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (or 3 tsp KIFG Garlic Powder)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
If using refrigerated pizza dough, let it come to room temperature for about an hour before assembling. Preheat your oven to 200°C.

Step 2: Form the Knots
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough into strips about 2 cm wide and 15 cm long. Roll each strip into a rope shape, then tie into a knot, tucking the ends into the centre. Place the knots on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the knots.

Step 4: Bake the Knots
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 5: Finish and Serve
Remove the knots from the oven and brush with the remaining garlic butter mixture. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
