FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When is your fresh garlic harvested?

We harvest our garlic between late November and early December.

When is fresh garlic available for sale and for how long?

Our fresh garlic is extremely popular and only available while stock lasts! Our garlic becomes available around Christmas time. We usually plant our garlic in April or May depending on whether the soil has received enough autumn rain.

What’s the best way to store fresh garlic?

Definitely not in the fridge! You should store your fresh garlic in a dry, dark and well-aerated space that is preferably room-temperature.

What is the difference between garlic granules and garlic powder?

Both garlic granules and garlic powder are produced using the same process. First, the fresh garlic is minced and dehydrated and then ground down. The granules and the powder are then separated with a special sieve We add absolutely nothing. No preservatives, colours or flavours. You get just pure tasty garlic.. The main differences between garlic powder and garlic granules is the texture and potency. Garlic powder has a very fine consistency, more like flour and granulated garlic is coarser. Garlic powder releases a lot more flavour than granules and fresh fresh cloves!

How can I rehydrate granules before cooking?

Our granules are made by grinding up dehydrated minced garlic. You can rehydrate them by just adding 2 teaspoons of water to one teaspoon of granules! The granules will then plump back up. A similar effect is produced while using other liquids like curry, soup or gravy. Once rehydrated, the amazing garlic flavour is fully released.

Do you use pesticides or harsh chemicals?

No! We don’t use pesticides or harsh chemicals, just dirt!

Our garlic salt uses sea salt sourced from the Great Australian Bight. Our products are 100% Australian, 100% pure garlic and 100% pesticide free.
